'Tis the season

...to argue about the so-called "attacks on Christmas" - here's Jeff Jarvis and Michael Berube on the subject. MaryKay, too. And Scalzi! (I just keep finding more!)

I'm kind of in the middle on this. I'm not religious and I don't want religion forced down my throat, but I think there are cases where this has been carried too far in the name of political correctness, too. I think I look at this differently than a lot of people, though - I consider Christmas to be a secular holiday to a great extent. (Which is exactly what the "Put Christ back in Christmas people" are so het up about, right?) The religious aspects of Christmas are secondary to most people, anyway. So chill.


(And yeah... I'm back. About time, huh?)
